Grogu witnessed the Siege of the Jedi Temple.

Afterwards, Djarin buried Kuiil and parted ways with Karga and Dune, leaving Nevarro aboard the Razor Crest, with Grogu as his foundling.^[6]

Djarin and Grogu went to an unknown planet to meet with Gor Koresh who, Djarin was hoping, could tell them well-nigh another Mandalorian. Peli quipped that she wished she could accept more of Grogu's kind. Djarin explained that he needed her assist to find a Mandalorian that lived on the planet. Peli offered to wait after Grogu while he went adventuring, merely Djarin responded that he was on a quest to bring Grogu back to his kind. Peli replied that she couldn't help him with that considering she had never encountered a member of Grogu's kind.^[15]

Later Peli pointed them in the direction of Mos Pelgo, Djarin and Grogu traveled at that place using her speeder wheel. Djarin collaborated with Motto to find another pb on Mandalorians, agreeing to ship "Frog Lady" to the estuary moon of Trask, where Frog Lady insisted her hubby had seen Mandalorians.^[16]

While traveling sublight toward the planet, Grogu's interest was greatly piqued by the Frog Lady's eggs. Soon afterwards leaving Tatooine, he began discreetly snacking on them until Djarin defenseless and reprimanded him, stowing him in the bunk. Later, afterwards crash landing on an ice planet to escape a New Commonwealth patrol, Grogu yet again consumed a number of eggs before Djarin stopped him again.
